Status of compliance with the requirements
This website is not fully compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA, the Annex to the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) due to the deviations and exceptions listed below.
It is recognised that certain areas of this website still require optimisation. The currently identified deficiencies include the following aspects:
- On several pages, images and icons do not consistently have appropriate text alternatives or accessible names. This can lead to information conveyed in images not being accessible to users of assistive technologies.
- Structuring errors in lists, accordions, pagination and tables can lead to these contents not being interpreted correctly by assistive technologies.
- Content behind dialogue elements is not programmatically hidden and is still accessible to screen readers, which impairs usability.
- Some content is not displayed correctly in the mobile landscape view.
- The auto-complete function is missing for certain form input fields, making it difficult to fill in.
- Some text elements have insufficient colour contrast to the background.
- On some pages, images of text are used instead of real text.
- When enlarged to 400%, individual elements are displayed incorrectly.
- Form input fields and icons sometimes have insufficient colour contrast to the background.
- Content is not always displayed correctly when text spacing is changed.
- The navigation dropdown cannot be closed with the Esc key.
- The following elements cannot be fully operated using the keyboard: search overlay elements, country selection, price filters, modal dialogues, galleries, "Show password" buttons, checkout steps, delivery/collection tabs in the checkout, payment method, checkboxes for agreeing to the terms and conditions and shoe finder.
- Some pages have no or insufficiently descriptive page titles.
- The focus order for elements such as product tiles, forms or the mini cart is sometimes not logical.
- Individual links do not contain a descriptive link text.
- Certain page content cannot be found via the internal search function and is only accessible via direct links.
- Some elements such as product variant selection and form entries contain duplicate labelling.
- Several elements lack a visible focus indicator or have insufficient contrast.
- The Google map integrated on mobile devices requires two fingers to operate, which limits usability.
- Changes to the default language setting of individual content are not correctly declared in the source code.
- Context changes through sorting or quantity selection functions are made without prior user confirmation.
- Elements with the same functionality, e.g. wish list or download, do not always have consistent labelling or designations.
- The price filter and some forms do not display an error message if an invalid character is entered.
- Some elements in the wish list and in the product tile have no visible or untranslated labels.
- Some HTML elements contain duplicate or missing IDs, which prevents assistive technologies from correctly recognising content.
- In certain areas such as navigation, country selection, filters, comparison bar, form elements, order overview and user area, accessible names are missing or ARIA attributes are used incorrectly.
- Some status information is not provided to screen readers.
We are actively working to resolve these issues and welcome feedback to further improve our accessibility.
